Volunteers make Westcroft Community Centre the warm and wonderful place it is. They cover reception, support and offer activities, engage in outreach, run events, and work on projects.
We actively encourage volunteers to bring their own ideas of what to run at the centre. We're always looking at how we can expand our offer, so lots of enthusiasm, a good idea and a bit of commitment can turn into a real contribution to the community.

Current Vacancies
Board of Trustees: Westcroft is governed by a small Board of Trustees and we are always looking for more skills and experience within the group. We are currently looking for more trustees. If you'd like to help the team at a vibrant community centre to deliver a high quality service and achieve our ambitious organisational aims, please get in touch!
Drivers: we have an excellent relationship with our local supermarkets because we visit so often! But we do struggle for the time and capacity to do the shopping that is so often required for so may projects. This would suit someone local, that can obviously drive and has plenty of flexibility. Demand for shopping trips changes throughout the year, from shopping for weekly refreshments, to supporting short term cookery projects. The holidays are a particularly busy time where we often run cookery groups, breakfast clubs and other sessions where we provide breakfast/lunch, all needing supplies.
Outreach / Marketing: We want to engage with the community outside the walls of the centre. We produce leaflets and newsletters, conduct questionnaires, and invite people face-to-face to join in with events and activities they might not have tried before. If you have an interest in social media, producing engaging posts that tell our story and can help in widening our engagement across Burnage and surrounding neighbourhoods then we might have the opportunity for you.
